Self promoting pawn
On youtube I saw this excellent video by "Works By Design" that immediately captivated me. I was super excited when I saw that the design of this self-promoting pawn where available on his Patreon website. I can now proudly say I'm a creator of an implementation of his truly mesmerising design.
Stereo Video with depth
I bought another Canon Eos M camera and created a rig. With this rig I can record stereo images and videos with depth. I'm experimenting with the camera stacked and side by side. I published a few videos on YT already for you to check out. Read on!
Canon EOS-M with Magic Lantern
I bought a camera to toy around with that has a surprising capability when you install the 'Magic Lantern' firmware on it. This was filmed while doing a afternoon walk around the Sloterplas.
Multi Material Unit for 3D printing (ERCF v2)
This multi material unit will I hope someday print aesthetically pleasing figures and toys. It's has been a great experience so far. A great shout for the team behind the 'Enraged Rabbit Carrot Feeder'!!
3D printed 'Knight with Axe'
A 3d modelling and printing challenge. The prototype is made in PLA with stainless steel bearing balls 10mm. The figure is posable.
3D print(ed/ing) Robot arm part II (UPDATE)
I describe my next steps in the process of making an accurate robotic arm that can 3d print.
3D print(ed/ing) robot arm part I
To have fun, to explore business opportunities, to learn, to add to scientific knowledge, I'm building a robot arm. The first chapter of the series is about the motor actuator.
Maple wood for my violin shoulder rest
The 3d printed version of the violin rest of a previous post left me eager do do more with this subject. The fitting of the 3d printed rest was so good that it gave me confidence to step up this project. The final result is an all wood/brass custom shoulder rest that fits like a glove.
The Woolf (multicam)
It's probably more than 10 years ago since many iterations of 3d printed parts ordered at Shapeways, trying out code and managing a crowd funding campaign. As a commercial phenomenon this didn't really latch on to an audience besides a couple of friends. As a viable product, the technique used and the theory behind it was a bit sub-ideal. Let's explore what's new...
Violin shoulder rest 3d printed
In order to better support my violin I decided to go for a custom solution on my 3d printer using the components from my old "Wolf" shoulder rest. The wolf support is around 25 years old and today's tech is much better suited for this job - is what I'm thinking. A bit of 3d modelling and gluing pieces together is hopefully going to improve my playing and my sound! :))
New prototypes for Bambi Medical
I attempted to create a prototype that is both high performant, cost effective and manufacturable.
Embedded software voor de Bambi Interface
For my brother and father's medtech company I solved the problem of logging data to sd card from the ECG and RR status signals. I dove in the STM32 microcontroller and wrote some pieces of code to tackle the issues of mounting the card, creating files and writing data.
EduID redesign
Finally @Egeniq I could make my hand dirty on a solo mission. Tiqr is used all over the world and eduId uses it's magic to authenticate users (mainly students and employees working in related institutions).
Asteroids-3D
Let me tell you how much fun I had developing Asteroids-3D โ๏ธ
Making a wooden version of my cousin
If you buy a cnc machine, it's not hard to make very nice objects with it. I scanned my cousins face ๐ and made a wood carving.
Airchip iOS app
Airchip hired me to make a festival app for the masses. Because of the Covid-19 outbreak their mission came to an early end. Now Daniel van Drunen has picked up is dream again.
The Woolf
An exciting journey into making 3d stereo videos (you can watch with red/cyan glasses) on the iPhone!
ShapeScale (freelance iOS project)
ShapeScale was my most challenging project, it had a lot of memory issues, and challenges that come with working in 3d.
Ei Festijn
A super fun developer experience.
Wall-e 3D printed
A fun small project modelling this adorable character :)
Post graduate animation project 'Snoep'
