Canon EOS-M with Magic Lantern

I bought a camera to toy around with that has a surprising capability when you install the 'Magic Lantern' firmware on it. This was filmed while doing a afternoon walk around the Sloterplas.

Magic Lantern has been around for over a decade. In fact so has the EOS - M camera. The combo (camera + lens) cost me around Eur. 300, but already the amount of fun I'm having is totally justifying the purchase. A walk in the sun with this camera around my neck, followed by an hour of tinkering behind my laptop is enough to fill my afternoon.

Magic lantern gives the now ageing camera the 14-bit raw superpower. No it cannot do everything an actual cinema camera can do, but still I think it's impressive. The look you're seeing in the movie below is exactly the 'cine' look I was going for.

Unfortunately it's hard to keep your shots steady (rolling shutter artefacts). Also there are just too many options and al lot of them seem unusable. So before you consider making these kind of movies, read a bit into it.

I love what people do with this camera and I've seen many great results. This is my first humble contribution:
